Gridfinity Sewing Foot Organizer
Every sewing machine foot in its place — on a Gridfinity base.
A presser-foot organizer rebuilt for the Gridfinity system. Individual compartments keep each foot visible and separated — no more digging through a drawer of loose feet — and the base locks into any Gridfinity grid or stacks on other bins. Four versions cover everything from a low tray beside the machine to a deep, stackable storage bin.

Four versions, one system
This started as a remix of 73pctGeek's Sewing Feet Box, requested by a family member: the original organizer, scaled slightly and fitted with a Gridfinity base. It has grown into a small family:
- Original 4x4 tray — the first version: low walls, individual foot compartments, 4x4 Gridfinity footprint.
- 4x5 stackable version — a fifth column of slightly larger compartments, and a base and lip that stack with itself or any Gridfinity bin.
- Updated 4x4, Short (2u) — the refreshed layout in a low-profile stackable bin.
- Updated 4x4, Deep (5u) — the same layout with tall walls for bulky attachments like a walking foot.
Short and deep versions stack directly on each other, so the collection grows as you need more compartments.
A bin sized for the buttonhole foot
The updated 4x4 versions add a long internal bin sized for buttonhole feet. A maker asked for a compartment to fit the roughly 10 × 3 cm automatic buttonhole foot that ships with many modern machines, and the updated layouts are built around it.
The rest of the layout keeps each foot in its own pocket, visible at a glance — low walls in the tray versions, tall walls in the deep bin — and every version locks into a Gridfinity grid or stacks on any standard Gridfinity bin.
A family request that kept growing
This one started close to home: a family member wanted her presser feet out of a drawer of loose feet and into something organized that fit the Gridfinity setup in her sewing space. 73pctGeek's Sewing Feet Box already had the right idea — individual compartments, every foot visible — so rather than reinvent it, I remixed it: scaled slightly in X and Y so the compartments fit her feet, with a Gridfinity base modeled underneath.
The rest of the family came from the people printing it. A maker with a mix of new and inherited feet reported the automatic buttonhole foot — about 10 × 3 cm, standard with many modern machines — didn't fit any compartment, so the updated 4x4 layouts were rebuilt around a long bin that holds it. Another maker confirmed it works with the maker's Pfaff feet. Requests keep shaping the versions, and the stackable design means the answer to "more feet" is just another bin.
From remixed tray to Gridfinity family
The original body came in as remixed geometry, but everything since has been built in Fusion. The first job was the base: replacing the flat bottom with a proper Gridfinity footprint — the 42 mm grid with the standard base profile — so the tray locks into any grid or seats on top of another bin. The 4x5 version added a stacking lip so bins seat on each other, plus a fifth column of slightly larger compartments.
The updated 4x4 layouts were a fresh compartment plan rather than a patch — rebuilt around the long buttonhole-foot bin while keeping a pocket per foot — and the same layout is carried at two Gridfinity heights, a 2u short bin and a 5u deep bin, so they stack as a pair. Like every model here, it went through multiple printed versions before each profile was published.

Times as sliced for Bambu Lab printers with a 0.4 mm nozzle; your printer and settings will vary. Pick the version that fits your machine drawer or sewing table — one plate per profile.
- No supports — every version prints support-free.
- Brim ears are enabled in the updated 4x4 profiles to hold the corners of the large flat base down; snap them off after printing.
- Infill: gyroid sparse infill (10–15%) — plenty for a storage tray.
- Material: everything else is standard 0.24 mm profile defaults. PLA is all it needs.
